The Jesuit Refugee Service (JRS) International Office Advocacy Unit is committed to supporting forcibly displaced people, advocating for their rights, and finding sustainable solutions to global migration issues. Therefore, as a volunteer, you will collaborate closely with the Head of the Advocacy Unit to:
🔹 Update & improve JRS’s capacity-building materials 📚
🔹 Assist in organizing impactful meetings & workshops 🏛️
🔹 Contribute to JRS’s global advocacy strategy 🌍

🛎️ Volunteer Service Details

There is 1 position available in the Advocacy Unit 🏛️, offering a unique opportunity to contribute directly to meaningful advocacy work. The volunteering role has a duration of 10 months, providing ample time to develop skills, build experience, and create a lasting impact. The start date is 21 January 2025, allowing you to prepare in advance for this enriching experience. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis until June 2027, which gives you the flexibility to apply at the moment that best fits your personal and professional plans.

Take part in community outreach. Build coordination and organization skills. Learn about the socio-political and cultural sides of advocacy.

🧑‍💻 Participant Profile – Is This You?

✔️ Age: 18–29 (must sign agreement before turning 30)
✔️ Residency: Belgium 🇧🇪
✔️ Language: English required, other European languages a plus 🗣️

In addition, preferred skills include e-learning content production 🎥📚 and interest in migration and refugee fields 🌍🏛️. Strong organization 📅, adaptability 🌏, Microsoft Office 365 proficiency 💻, and excellent interpersonal abilities 🤝 are also valued.
