Organizer: Worldwide Friends โ€“ Veraldarvinir ๐Ÿ•

Activity dates – From 18/08/2025 to 27/02/2026

๐ŸŒฑ Project Description

The Worldwide Friends โ€“ Veraldarvinirย  Camp leaders program in Hafnarfjรถrรฐur, Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ is all about boosting environmental awareness across the globe. ๐ŸŒŽ The main goal is to inspire both young locals and internationals to live sustainably in their everyday life. ๐ŸŒฟ Moreover, the project encourages fresh ideas that can help protect Mother Earth while empowering communities.

Camp Leaders will work as a team ๐Ÿค under the guidance of the Project Manager. They will lead activities for short-term and long-term volunteers, who typically spend 5โ€“7 hours on environmental work during weekdays. In addition, leaders will join nature-oriented, educational, and environmental protection projects across Iceland ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ธ. Typically, each volunteer group has 2โ€“3 leaders from the organization, ensuring smooth coordination and support.

๐Ÿก Accommodation, Food & Transport

During the Camp leaders program, volunteers will stay at the Worldwide Friends Sustainable Centre ๐Ÿ , which offers comfortable facilities including beds, bed sheets, and free Wi-Fi ๐Ÿ“ถ. Rooms are shared by 2, 4, or 6 volunteers.

Furthermore, food ingredients are provided, and everyone shares cooking ๐Ÿ‘ฉโ€๐Ÿณ and cleaning duties. Volunteers are even encouraged to bring their own recipes ๐Ÿฒ and spices ๐ŸŒถ from home to share cultural tastes. ๐Ÿš Local transportation related to the project is also covered, making it easier for everyone to focus on the environmental mission.

๐Ÿ“š Training & Learning Opportunities

This experience is more than just volunteeringโ€”itโ€™s a chance to learn, grow, and connect. By hosting ESC volunteers, the organization adds a valuable international perspective to its internship programs, educational tours, and short projects.

Consequently, participants will explore various environmental sustainability techniques ๐ŸŒ, develop new skills, learn a new language ๐Ÿ—ฃ, inspire young adults through creative workshops ๐ŸŽจ, and even design and implement their own project.

๐Ÿ‘ค Participant Profile

The Camp leaders program seeks motivated, independent, and eco-driven individuals ๐ŸŒฑ who can contribute practical ideas to fight climate change and promote green living. Since English is the main language in the camps ๐Ÿ‡ฌ๐Ÿ‡ง, good communication skills are essential.

Above all, candidates should be ready to live with other international volunteers ๐ŸŒ, embrace a sustainable lifestyle โ™ป, and enjoy Icelandโ€™s breathtaking landscapes ๐ŸŒ‹.
