Volunteer in Norway in Sund folk high school
SOLIDARITY, CULTURE AND EDUCATION AT NORWEGIAN FOLK HIGH SCHOOL
🌍 Discover a Unique Cultural & Educational Journey in Norway
Volunteer in Norway! 🌟 Do not miss this opportunity! To begin with, young people in Europe today seek to connect with other cultures and explore urgent issues shaping our society. In addition, they want to grow, discover their creativity, and develop artistic skills 🎨. However, the formal education system often misses vital areas like democratic culture, active citizenship, solidarity, and creativity.
Consequently, Norway’s folk high schools offer a refreshing approach through non-formal learning. At the same time, Sund Folkehøgskole provides volunteers with valuable experience in democratic culture, citizenship, and creativity, while teaching them how to apply these skills in real life. Ultimately, this enriching journey prepares participants for both university and the job market.
🏠 Volunteer in Norway-Accommodation, Food & Transport
Volunteers stay directly on the school campus 🏫. Meals are prepared by the school, offering 4 daily shared meals with students. When students are away, volunteers have their own kitchen for cooking 🍲.
The school is located in Trøndelag, near Trondheim Airport ✈️. From the airport, take a train to Røra (about 1 hour). The train station is only 5 km from the school, and the team provides transport 🚗.
📚 Volunteer in Norway- Training & Activities
Throughout the program, volunteers actively explore the folk high school concept and its social impact. In particular, they engage in projects promoting international solidarity, environmental awareness 🌱, and sustainable development.
Furthermore, participants discover talents in music 🎵, dance 💃, theatre 🎭, handicraft 🧵, video making 🎥, and photography 📸. In addition, they learn about Norwegian 🇳🇴 and other cultures, practicing intercultural dialogue and awareness. Finally, they strengthen their skills in youth participation and active citizenship, both locally and internationally.
