To join this exciting volunteering adventure, first read all the details on our official webpage and complete the application form. This 10-month program takes place on two unique farms in the stunning Canary Islands 🇪🇸. You will immerse yourself in sintropic agroforestry, regenerative agriculture, and permaculture design while enjoying an authentic multicultural community.

Moreover, the experience begins with 4 months on one farm in a small team of two volunteers, followed by 6 months on another farm with a group of six. You will combine hands-on farm work with enriching theory workshops. Daily activities include gardening, forest maintenance, caring for animals, plant nursery work, bioconstruction, and supporting other community farms. Volunteers from across the world, including Spain 🇪🇸, bring diverse perspectives and energy to the program.

🏡 Accommodation, Food, and Transport

You will stay in shared farmhouses with communal bedrooms, bathrooms, and kitchens. However, comfort remains basic, as some facilities are outdoors. In winter, temperatures can drop to -2 °C at night 🌨️, while in summer they can reach 35-37 °C ☀️. Farms are in mountainous regions, so expect a different climate from the coastal postcard image of the Canary Islands.

Additionally, food comes partly from farm harvests and partly from a money allowance for local market purchases. Volunteers take turns cooking and share meals together, creating a warm community spirit.

🎓 Training During the Program

The program aims to help you understand and apply regenerative agriculture while building confidence to design and maintain your own food forest. Through continuous “learning by doing,” you will embrace mistakes as valuable lessons.

Workshops led by coordinators and fellow volunteers will guide you in ecological farming techniques, permaculture planning, and sustainable leadership. As you progress, you will strengthen your autonomy and deepen your environmental awareness.
