Are you ready to volunteer in Italy and immerse yourself in sustainable farming? The Roots of Change program offers a 6-month hands-on volunteering experience in Palombaio, Apulia. Running from 01/09/2025 to 28/05/2026, this program combines agroforestry, eco-living, and creative sustainability projects.
Organized by PIGRECO โ Semi di Intercultura APS in collaboration with Associazione Regen ETS, this program welcomes young Europeans who want to learn real-world skills in sustainability and contribute to local communities.
๐ Volunteer in Italy- Apulia โ Experience Italian Rural Life
If you dream of volunteering in Apulia, this program offers the perfect mix of rural living and cultural immersion. Palombaio, near Bitonto, is surrounded by olive groves and provides a peaceful yet inspiring environment. Volunteers will work on organic farms, participate in agroforestry, and experience authentic Italian eco-living.
Moreover, this experience teaches you practical skills in permaculture, composting, and sustainable agriculture while connecting with local communities. Youโll understand how Italian villages balance tradition with ecological innovation.

This project is part of the European Solidarity Corps Italy, targeting motivated young Europeans aged 18โ30. By joining the European Solidarity Corps in Italy, youโll develop skills in teamwork, sustainability, and cross-cultural collaboration while actively contributing to environmental protection.
๐ Location: Bitonto, Apulia, Italy
The program takes place at Corso Vittorio Emanuele, 134 Palombaio, Bitonto, in the Metropolitan City of Bari. Bitonto is nicknamed the โCity of Olivesโ due to its endless olive groves. Volunteers enjoy easy access to Bari, nearby airports, and trains, combining rural serenity with Italian city life.
