This Erasmus + training course aims to explore the creation of strong, purposeful communities with a focus on compassion.

ABOUT THE TRAINING COURSE

This course is designed to help participants understand how to build robust and meaningful communities, emphasizing the importance of compassion. It is intended for youth workers, community leaders, and anyone interested in strengthening or developing the communities they are a part of, with the goal of enhancing their community’s functioning.

PARTICIPANTS WILL

• Understand the importance of building stronger communities.
• Explore the role of compassion in communities and learn how to practice it.
• Gain knowledge about organizational culture and the role and skills of a community builder.
• Learn how to use a Community Map to design community culture.
• Discover the tools community builders use and how to apply them.
• Explore the power of rituals in building strong communities.
• Develop a plan to apply and share the knowledge within their own communities.

THE TRAINERS

Sonja Čandek, from Slovenia, is a social pedagogue and passionate trainer focused on Learning to Learn, Creativity, and processes “From idea to realization.” Currently, she is an active ambassador of compassion. She enjoys teamwork, transforming ideas into projects, and contributing to a better life. Sonja thrives in multicultural, creative environments and always maintains a positive pedagogical outlook.

Uršula Butkovič, also from Slovenia, is an experienced consultant, coach, and mentor. Her expertise lies in identifying untapped development opportunities in teams, organizations, and individuals, and supporting their activation. She experiments with various approaches, methods, and concepts to find the most effective solutions to challenges faced by teams. Uršula believes in people, humanity, and our collective ability to move forward.

Travel reimbursement:
Travel expenses will be reimbursed as follows:

• Slovenia: 28 EUR (Green travel: 56 EUR)
• Czech Republic, Croatia: 211 EUR (Green travel: 285 EUR)
• Serbia, Portugal, Poland, Spain, Belgium, Greece, Finland, Romania, Norway: 309 EUR (Green travel: 417 EUR)
