Objective

This program is designed to support personal well-being, strengthen professional identity, and encourage peer collaboration. It offers practical strategies to prevent burnout through activities focused on mental and physical health, personal coping mechanisms, the importance of nature, boundary-setting, and sustainable self-care plans.

Methodology

The course is structured around Non-Formal Education (NFE) principles, with an emphasis on experiential learning. Outdoor activities will play a key role in boosting well-being and resilience. A horizontal learning approach ensures equal participation and peer exchange. Additionally, art pedagogy will be integrated to foster creativity and self-expression.

Target Audience

This training is tailored for youth workers operating in high-stress environments, particularly those assisting vulnerable young people. It is well-suited for professionals experiencing early signs of burnout, often without adequate supervision or support. The program seeks participants who feel exhausted and need fresh inspiration to reignite their professional passion. Through this course, they will reinforce their professional identity, regain motivation, and build a supportive peer network.

About the Organizer:

Established in 2004, Jatszoda Association originally focused on supporting young people with special educational needs. Over time, the organization shifted towards cultural and environmental education programs. The purchase of a 4-hectare site near Budapest, known as Dombfalva, has allowed for the development of eco-conscious initiatives that actively engage youth.

Our work promotes sustainability, community building, volunteerism, active citizenship, and mental and physical well-being through non-formal education and art-based methods. Our team brings expertise in various fields, including:

  • Developmental pedagogy
  • Work with vulnerable youth, refugees, and Roma communities
  • Art therapy, music, dance, drama, and media
  • Eco-architecture, agriculture, mindfulness, meditation, and yoga

We believe that integrating environmental awareness with community engagement fosters meaningful change. By promoting a nature-connected lifestyle, we aim to create a lasting impact on young people, local communities, and international networks.
