Eligibility:

Educational Background:
First and foremost, applicants must possess a nationally recognized first-cycle degree—typically a Bachelor’s degree—from an accredited institution of higher education. Moreover, the degree should correspond to at least 180 ECTS (European credits) or three years of full-time study. Additionally, the degree must be in a relevant field, such as psychology, neuroscience, cognitive science, medical sciences, biomedicine, biochemistry, life sciences, biology, physics, computer science, mathematics, statistics, or engineering. However, degrees in other fields may also provide a suitable background depending on the applicant’s study history and plans.

Language Proficiency:
Furthermore, applicants must demonstrate excellent English language skills, typically by providing proof through internationally recognized English language tests. For this reason, the university’s admissions page details specific requirements and accepted tests.

Motivation Letter:
Finally, applicants must submit a motivation letter (maximum 2,000 characters, including spaces) addressing the following points. First, explain your reasons for choosing the Master’s Degree Programme in Human Neuroscience. Next, highlight the relevance of your previous studies in the field of neuroscience. Then, describe your knowledge and experience in statistics and/or programming. Lastly, demonstrate your proficiency in English, particularly in scientific writing. It is important to note that the motivation letter may be checked for plagiarism.

Application Evaluation:

Applications are evaluated by the admission committee based on the suitability of background studies, previous academic success, and the content and quality of the motivation letter. Additionally, the program considers only complete applications submitted during the application period. Moreover, it does not provide preliminary assessments of suitability or chances for admission.
