Youth4Regions

Description for Youth4Regions programme:

Youth4Regions is the European Commission’s initiative that supports journalism students and early‑career reporters in exploring what the EU is doing in their region.

What we offer:

You’ll start with hands-on training in journalism and EU Cohesion Policy, providing a strong foundation for your reporting journey.
Beyond that, you’ll receive mentorship from experienced journalists in your own country.
There are also chances to collaborate with well-known reporters during EU Regions’ Week.
The programme includes guided visits to EU-affairs media headquarters and key EU institutions, offering insight into European policy-making.
Participants may also be selected to join official European Commission press trips to Member States.
To top it off, all travel, accommodation, and most meals are fully funded by the European Commission.

What we ask for:

We’re looking for a genuine interest in what the EU and its Cohesion Policy are achieving in your region.
You should have a background in journalism—whether you’re currently studying or have up to two years of professional experience.
Applicants must be citizens of an EU Member State or a neighbouring country, and aged between 18 and 30.
Finally, you need to be available for the full programme duration from 11 to 17 October 2025.
