Description
HIV Research for Prevention (HIVR4P 2016) will provide fellowships to attend and cover the conference to approximately 25 journalists from around the world. The journalist fellowship program is designed to help build journalist capacity to report on biomedical HIV prevention, and to generate high-profile media coverage of advances and challenges in prevention research, especially in communities that are heavily impacted by the epidemic.
As part of the fellowship, journalists will participate in a two-day, onsite workshop with leaders in various fields of biomedical prevention research, designed to help them better understand and report on research developments from the conference.

HIVR4P journalist fellows will receive conference registration, transportation to and from Chicago, accommodation, most meals, and a per diem. This opportunity is highly selective.

Accepted fellows must commit to be in Chicago from 16 October, when the training program begins, through the conclusion of the conference on 21 October, 2016.
